Seoul--(뉴스와이어)--On Earth Day, April 22, Wehome.me, South Korea’s legal home sharing, announced a new partnership to lead the trend of sustainable travel. Wehome has teamed up with Idden.co, a provider of zero-plastic and eco-friendly amenities, to revamp the home stay experience and contribute to environmental protection. By integrating Idden’s advanced eco-friendly technology and design with home sharing, they aim to bring beneficial changes to both the planet and customers.
The home sharing is at the heart of travel trends, tied to the importance placed on the environmental value of utilizing existing homes. Believing that sustainable tourism and environmental protection should be core to the travel industry, Wehome has partnered with Idden to launch a green amenity package suitable for shared accommodation. Idden creates amenities from natural ingredients, and all products come in recyclable packaging. Wehome plans to increase the use of eco-friendly amenities in collaboration with its hosts.
The “Welcome Home Amenity” package introduced by both companies is made from biodegradable materials to minimize environmental impact. It includes non-plastic toothbrushes, shampoo bars, and soaps, helping accommodation businesses achieve zero-plastic operations. Available in three types — Welcome Home One, Welcome Home Two, and Welcome Home Ritual — the package combines eco-friendliness with excellent design, adding emotional value to the environmental benefits.
This collaboration not only enhances the quality of Wehome’s accommodations and customer experience but also provides travelers with an opportunity to practice environmental responsibility. Jo SanKu, CEO of Wehome, expressed his pleasure saying “We are exited to initiate meaningful change with hosts through the partnership with Idden”.
Wehome and Idden plan to extend their cooperation with hosts to develop home sharing into eco-friendly travel, starting with this product package. Seo Sun-mi, CEO of Idden, expressed hope syaing “This collaboration would encourage more people to recognize and practice environmental protection, aspiring to lead the market for eco-friendly home sharing amenities”.
Announced on Earth Day, the partnership first supplies Wehome’s hosts. Wehome guests can now experience eco-friendly amenities in green home sharing, with special pricing available for orders starting from 100 units through the end of May to commemorate Earth Day.
